The Downtown Candy Crawl returns Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM, bringing families together for a fun-filled afternoon exploring our historic downtown and visiting the local businesses that make Georgetown so special.

What is the Downtown Candy Crawl?

The Downtown Candy Crawl is a FREE, family-friendly community event where kids and families are invited to dress up, stroll through Downtown Georgetown, and collect candy and goodies from participating businesses.

It’s an easygoing afternoon designed for families to spend time together, enjoy our beautiful downtown, and connect with the local businesses that help make our community such a special place to gather.

What to Expect:

Candy Crawl Stroll from business to business collecting candy and treats from participating downtown businesses.

Costume Fun
Costumes are encouraged! From favorite characters and superheroes to creative family costumes, everyone is invited to join in the fun.

Presented by The Georgetown Beard Club - every month, on the First Friday, we invite you to join us for a family friendly community night out! From March through November, the Georgetown Square comes alive with the sound of live music. First Friday downtown district offers after-hours shopping with unique local stores along with many options to satisfy every craving and sweet tooth from cafes to upscale eateries. And for those seeking refreshment, wine and craft beer bars abound, offering a variety of beverages to complement your evening.

First Friday downtown district truly has something for everyone, making it the ultimate destination for family fun. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking to spend quality time with loved ones, you'll find it here!

Celebrate the holiday season at the annual Lighting of the Square event on the day after Thanksgiving.

The holiday lights will remain lit every evening through Jan. 1.

Free parking can be found at Seventh and Rock streets; Austin Avenue and Fifth Street; Martin Luther King Jr. Street and Seventh and Eighth streets; and the parking garage located at Fourth and Rock streets.

More than a holiday event, it's a place to slow down, connect, and create meaningful memories with the people who matter most and experience the hospitality and community spirit that makes Georgetown special.

With more than 72,000 attendees in 2025, Christmas Stroll has become one of Central Texas' most cherished holiday traditions. Enjoy the Christmas Parade, Santa's Village, holiday concerts, family activities, festive food and drinks, charming downtown storefronts, and over 200 artisan and boutique vendors. From dancing with the Grinch to gathering beneath the glow of the Square's holiday lights, every experience is designed to bring people together.
